The top 3 things I did in the first year of my consulting business (part 2)

In the first year of my consulting business, there were several things I focused on to create success. When I left corporate, I started out with just a couple of coaching clients and no consulting clients because it was a conflict with my job to have PR clients on the side. Which is totally fair enough! But what I really wanted was to replace my six-figure annual income. ASAP. And that’s exactly what I did, around 12-18 months in, with a mix of coaching and consulting clients. In this live replay of day 2, I share with you the second thing I focused on in the first year of my consulting business to replace my corporate income in just a few days per week.

10 abundant things you can do as a consultant

When you launch your consulting business, you’re free to work as many hours as you choose.

Of course, it will take some time to set up at the beginning because you’ll be creating business collateral like sales pitches, credentials documents and templates for the first time, plus finding your first clients and delivering incredible work for them so that you can be referred again and again.

However, once you’ve gotten past the first year or two, you’ll find yourself with more time on your hands than when you worked in a full-time job.

Once you have your business fundamentals set up, your long-term clients, your business templates and you get into the groove of things, you’ll have some choices about how you spend your time.

Join me in this livestream replay where I discuss the 10 abundant things you can do as a consultant

How to land and retain consulting clients for years

One of the biggest hesitations that my clients have faced before stepping out of corporate and becoming consultants is around income security. It makes complete sense: why leave something that feels secure for something that doesn’t feel so secure?

The answer: freedom. (Time, financial, location, creative freedom). And, of course, JOY.

In this livestream replay I discuss how to land and retain consulting clients for years so you can make all of this happen for yourself!

Is it too late to become a consultant?

I don’t know about you, but my inner critic has often come up throughout my life and given me ALL the excuses for why I can’t do something. I’m either too young, or too old. Too smart, or not smart enough. Too short, or too tall.

These are ALL just stories. They are not the truth.

And when it comes to making a much-needed change in your career: it’s NEVER too late. In this livestream replay, I discuss why it’s never too late to become a consultant (AND what you can build from there!)
